On the Viola App we offer an array of features to prevent unwanted approaches, intimidate any possible aggressors, and provide witness and proof through audio and visual recordings.
The app centers around the video calls which ensures both visibility for the chaperone and works as prevention for the user. If you do not want to be on a video call, the chat option is also available and still gives you access to all the same features. You can also utilize the video recording feature in order to generate audio-visual proof in case of an emergency. It is entirely up to the user to decide to report the crime or not.
We also provide geolocation so that law enforcement can most accurately and quickly get to the user, and maps so while on the move you can see surrounding places that have been verified by Viola.
Other features include a voice activation which allows you to activate emergency calls and geo-location to your emergency contacts; a connection to law enforcement that instantly connects to the closest law enforcement directly from the video call screen; and a contact alert system to notify your emergency contacts of your route home and when you arrive.
At the end of 2023 the app will have all of these features available for you, but for now we offer a free version including video calls. The app is available on the Apple Store and Google Store for anyone who is walking home, traveling alone, or just wants company when they are walking at night.
All of the calls or chats are monitored by our trained volunteers who are available 24/7 to take you home and act in case of an emergency.
